Recompiling Scripts for Jaws for Windows
Sometimes after installing some Jaws scripts, you will need
to first recompile the scripts in order for them to work correctly. The steps
of recompiling scripts are outlined below.
- Hit
Insert 0 to open the script manager.
2. If you are in the program of the scripts you are recompiling, then the
.jss file for the scripts will automatically load with the script manager.
Now skip to step 5.
3. If you are not in the program for the scripts you are wanting to
recompile, then hit control O to bring up the open dialog box.
4. Then shift tab one time to be in a list of script files for different
programs. If you know the name of the script file, then arrow down to it,
and hit enter to open the script file in the script manager.
5. Now that you have the script file open for the scripts that you want to
recompile, hit control S, and you should hear something like, compile
complete.
6. Your done! Hit alt f4 to exit the script manager.
